    @theodric @gewt killall(1M) in Solaris kills all process and doesn't take any process name parameters. Thus, running it with a process name means the process name gets ignored and it... kills all processes.

      @theodric @gewt If I remember IRIX correctly, it does provide an option to pass in a process name and doing so would treat it like killall on Linux and FreeBSD. Sans process name, it does what killall(1M) does in Solaris. My memory of IRIX is a bit fuzzier than it is with Solaris.
