@FrauTillmann The physical row of function keys is so much better than the Touch Bar on my last two MBPs. It definitely feels snappier and does not become a space heater even when pushing the processor and/or graphics.

@FrauTillmann I like that it's thicker and has fewer sharp edges when picking it up or moving it around. The extra weight isn't too bad when using it on the lap. I kind of wished they could've included another Thunderbolt 4 port to even things out.

@FrauTillmann The only app that I use a lot that hasn't been ported to Apple Silicon, Plex, is a little more sluggish in UI response than on my 2019 MBP. It does play videos quite well and doesn't cause the laptop to heat up and causes the fans to run at full tilt.
-
@FrauTillmann Adobe Lightroom Classic is quite zippier to navigate around and flick through photos even with files on an external USB SSD.
-
@FrauTillmann One additional note is the battery life is heads and shoulders above my 2016 15" and 2019 16" MBP, even with the 2021 16" MBP having an M1 Max with 24-core GPU and 32 GB of RAM and running my screen just at about 60% and keyboard backlight on around half brightness.

@FrauTillmann Also, that was with Energy Mode in "Automatic". I've now switched it to "Low Power" and running off of batteries again to see how well it performs overall.
