      1. So far, I've been building and installing various software packages on my new 16" MBP with M1 Max (24-core GPU) and the fans have barely kicked on. I've been running various things and copying files over Ethernet (via TB3 dock) from my 2019 16" MBP in the background as well.

      I've gotten my Python versions installed via pyenv and most of the other dev tools and MariaDB 10.5 installed via Homebrew.

    For temperature and fan readings, I had to switch from iStats Menu to TG Pro. I still haven't installed VS Code and BBEdit yet. That's next on the TODO list.
