      @nicole_express For almost the entire NES generation, I played on a hand-me-down-again TV with really borked up contrast and gamma no matter how I could adjust it through the knobs. It wasn't until the SNES that I played on a Trinitron but sat far enough away to not see "scanlines"

    @nicole_express The only time that I saw the Trinitron grille mask "scanlines" was when I moved to a smaller place and ended up sitting closer to the TV to play the game. But, it wasn't super special, tbh. I don't like the emulated "scanlines" found in various emulators or classic/mini consoles
